    Fixed

    • One Back closes the quality and audio menus: it used to take two presses; now one press goes straight back to the picture.
    • Login code renews itself: when a sign-in code expired, the welcome screen showed "Anmeldung abgelehnt" and a QR without a code. castarr now fetches a fresh code instead.
    • Frame rate in the info panel: devices that drop many frames showed half the real frame rate (25 instead of 50 fps).

    Improved

    • Quality badge at the end of the row: UHD, FHD, HD or SD now sit in their own column on the right, lined up so they can be scanned while scrolling.
    • "Senderliste neu laden" gives feedback: shows "Lädt …", then how many channels were loaded, or an error.
    • One Back out of menus: Back in the quality or audio menu goes straight back to the picture.

    Fixed

    • Duplicate entries in the quality menu: some channels have two streams under the same name (e.g. Sky Sport UHD); they are now listed as "Quelle 1" and "Quelle 2".

    • Stream info in the player: "Info" in the overlay (or the remote's info key) shows what is playing: variant, codec, resolution, frame rate, SDR/HDR (HLG, PQ), audio track, decoder, display mode, buffer, network speed and dropped frames. Refreshes every second and stays up without the overlay; Back hides it.
    • Quality badge in the channel list: every channel shows the best quality it offers (UHD, FHD, HD, SD). UHD is highlighted, so 4K channels can be found without tuning in.

    Fixed

    • Smoother picture: German TV runs at 50 fps, but the panel stayed at 60 Hz, so the picture hitched every few seconds. castarr now switches the panel to 50 Hz when playback starts.

    Good to know

    • The screen goes black for a moment once, when the switch happens. After that it stays at 50 Hz while the app is open, so zapping does not blank it again.
    • Leaving the app hands the panel back to its usual refresh rate.
    • To turn it off: Settings → Wiedergabe → "Bildwiederholrate anpassen".

    Fixed

    • Quality switch no longer throws you out of the player. Picking another quality used to drop you back to the channel list, on a random group, while the new stream played behind it.
    • The player now stays open and shows "Qualität wird gewechselt…" until the new stream runs.

    New

    • Quality button in the player (next to "Ton"): lists every version of the channel (FHD, HD, UHD) with codec and resolution. UHD is one click away; the pick sticks to that channel.
    • Best stream for this TV automatically: a TV with hardware HEVC gets RTL and VOX in Full HD instead of 720p.
    • Automatic resolution setting: Settings → Wiedergabe → "Automatische Auflösung" decides whether "Automatisch" may go up to 4K (default: Full HD).
    • Audio track list: pick the track from a list instead of stepping through. The remote's audio key opens it too.

    Improved

    • Channel numbers match the backend: ZDF is 3, Sky Sport Bundesliga 1300, the same as in the browser viewer. New channels no longer shift the others.
    • The list and the group rail run in channel-number order; the right key jumps between hundreds blocks.
    • Clearer audio track names: "Deutsch · Stereo · AAC" and "Deutsch · 5.1 · Dolby Digital" instead of "Deutsch" and "Deutsch 2". The choice carries over to the next channel.
    • If a stream fails, the player moves on to the next version by itself.

    Fixed

    • CH+ goes to the next higher channel, not the lower one.
    • Back from playback lands on the same spot in the list instead of jumping the channel to the top or losing the focus.

    Improved

    • Tidied channel list for everyone: castarr asks Dispatcharr for the channel profiles assigned to the signed-in user, admin or not. Admins used to get all 3084 channels (duplicates, 24/7 loops, adult); now everyone sees the same 1480 as the browser viewer.
    • Users without an assigned profile still see everything.

    Fixed

    • Updater works again: since the move to Forgejo the old release address answered 404, so no TV saw new versions.

    Also new since 0.11.5

    • Sign-in by scan: the QR on the welcome screen opens the confirmation page with the code filled in. An expired code is renewed and announced.
    • Starts on the last channel instead of the settings gear.
    • Offline notice: "Server nicht erreichbar · Stand 14:46" in the top bar instead of an empty evening.
    • Day plan: right on a channel opens it; channel keys jump by initial letter; favourites work for plain M3U sources too.
    • Settings on one screen in three columns; "Kopplung zurücksetzen" asks first; the last crash on this TV is shown.
    • EPG: repeated programmes no longer listed three times; match titles shortened to the fixture.

    The club highlight actually shows now. The pulse ring around the crest was being clipped away by the box it lived in, so a running match looked exactly like a quiet one.

    "läuft" no longer sits as red text on the turquoise fill of a focused row — it has its own dark chip, which reads the same whether the row is idle, selected or focused.

    Crests are resampled properly instead of being crushed 8:1 by Android at draw time, so the edges are clean. Heidenheim is HDH; FCH stays in the north.

    The updater downloads to a part file and checks the length against what the server announced before handing anything to the installer, and refuses a second attempt while the first is still running. A half-written APK makes the installer sit there with nothing to say, which is what a hang looks like.

    Picking a club is no longer a flat list of 56 names. The chooser has its own dialog now: a crest on every row, the short label on the right, and section headers for the three divisions. Clubs you already enabled show their crest in the settings card as well.

    No search field — typing on a remote is what the ten-foot rule rules out. Crests and grouping do the recognising instead.
